Description

This bypass kit is designed for certain Raypak Capron/Polymer header pool heaters. It includes a bypass valve, dam/shaft, and spring—providing all key components needed for servicing the heater’s bypass circuit.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Fits Raypak heater models R185A, R265A, R335A, R405A and other Capron-header models.
  • Recommended when the heater’s bypass valve is leaking, stuck, or the spring/damper assembly has worn out.
  • Use when performing maintenance or rebuild of the heater’s heat-exchanger bypass assembly.

Installation Notes

Shut off power and fuel to the heater. Depressurize water flow. Remove the existing bypass valve assembly and inspect the valve cavity for debris or corrosion. Install the new valve body, dam/shaft and spring components per manufacturer schematic. Re-assemble, flush the circuit, restore water flow and power, and observe for correct bypass function and leak-free operation.

Maintenance Tip

During annual heater service inspect the bypass assembly for wear, sediment, spring loss of tension or corrosion. Replacing early prevents bypass leaks, inefficient heating and premature heat-exchanger damage.

Return Policy:

  • All products, except as noted below, are eligible for return up to 30 days after receipt of item.
  • For returns, an RMA form must be filled out HERE or customers can call for additional help.
  • Shipping costs will be deducted from all returned items.
  • Any item that is missing accessories, original packaging, or is not returned in the same condition that it was received in, may be subject to a re-stocking fee up to 100% based on the condition we receive it in. 
  • Items broken, damaged, or inoperable due to installer error will not be refunded.
  • Fill out the return form or give us a call to obtain an RMA and return shipping label.

  • If a light is returned because it "doesn't work" and it tests fine, the cost to ship and a re-stocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
  • All products denied upon arrival at customers house WILL be charged the cost to ship.
