Description
A Schedule 40 PVC slip cap designed to seal the end of a 2-inch internal diameter (nominal) PVC pipe. It provides a reliable plug for idle lines, plan expansions, or system terminations in pool, spa, irrigation and general plumbing applications.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Fits 2″ nominal Schedule 40 PVC pipes (actual outer diameter approx. 2.375″) for solvent-weld (slip) connection.
- Suitable for pool plumbing systems, irrigation mains, drainage termination or standby plumbing runs.
- Used when an open pipe must be permanently capped or when draining, winterizing or isolating a run.

- Material: High-quality Type I PVC resin rated for pool and plumbing service.
- Connection type: Socket (slip) end – glue or solvent-cement connection required.
- Configuration: Cap (solid end) to close off pipe.
- Rated for temperatures up to approx. 140 °F and pressure up to standard Sch 40 ratings.
Installation Notes
Make sure to cut the pipe square and remove any burrs. Dry-fit the cap, apply PVC primer and solvent cement per manufacturer’s instructions, then fully seat the cap into the pipe until it bottoms in the socket. Wipe away excess cement and allow proper cure time before pressurizing or filling the system.
Maintenance Tip
Periodically inspect capped lines for external damage, UV-aging or any unintended leaks. If the cap becomes cracked or deteriorated, replace it promptly to maintain plumbing integrity and prevent infiltration or contamination.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.

- Chemical products are not eligible for return under any circumstances.

- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
