The Pentair Rainbow 5/8" x 18" Chlorinator Hose Tube (R172253Z) is a replacement vinyl hose designed for automatic chlorinator systems and chemical feeders in pools and spas. Sized at 5/8" inside diameter and 18" long, this hose tube helps deliver chemical feed from the chlorinator to your pool plumbing or equipment, ensuring a smooth, controlled flow of sanitizer where it’s needed.

What This Part Is For

This chlorinator hose tube is used with Pentair Rainbow chlorinators and similar automatic chemical feed devices that rely on flexible tubing to route chemicals into the pool circulation system. Replace this hose when it becomes brittle, cracked, clogged, or discolored to maintain proper chemical delivery and prevent leaks or flow restrictions.

Features & Benefits

Designed for 5/8" inside diameter connections — no reducers needed
18" length provides flexibility for typical chlorinator installations
Durable vinyl construction resists chemical exposure and kinking
Ideal replacement hose tube for chlorinators, feeders, or similar low-pressure chemical lines

Installation Notes

Turn off the chlorinator and pool pump before servicing
Remove the old hose and inspect fittings for corrosion or build-up
Trim hose ends squarely for a clean fit before installation
Push hose fully onto barbed fittings and secure with clamps if recommended

Maintenance Tips

Check the hose periodically for cracking, stiffness, or discoloration
Replace if flow becomes restricted or you observe leaks
Clean connections and barbs during routine service to help extend hose life
