The Pentair R172064 is an OEM replacement parts bag for Pentair Rainbow off-line automatic chlorine/bromine feeders. It includes the key fittings and valves needed to rebuild the feeder’s tubing connections and restore dependable chemical feed control on compatible Rainbow models.

What This Kit Does
- Restores secure tubing connections to reduce leaks and air intrusion at the feeder line.
- Replaces worn control/check components to help stabilize chlorine or bromine feed rate.
- Provides common service hardware used during feeder installation, replumbing, or rebuilds.
When to Replace
- Cracked or brittle tubing fittings, clamps, or gaskets
- Feeder won’t hold a consistent feed rate (sticky or worn control valve)
- Backflow/chemical odor issues caused by a failed check valve
- Drips or seepage at the tubing connections
- Replumbing the feeder and needing fresh compression fittings and seals
Installation Notes
- Turn off the pump and relieve filter pressure before cutting into any plumbing.
- Install the check valve in the correct flow direction to prevent chemical backflow.
- Cut tubing square and seat fully into compression fittings before tightening.
- Tighten compression nuts snugly; avoid overtightening that can crush tubing or distort gaskets.
- After start-up, recheck for small leaks once the system is running under normal pressure.
Installation and Maintenance Tips
- Keep the feeder set low after servicing, then adjust gradually to the desired output over 24–48 hours.
- Routinely inspect the check valve and tubing for scale buildup, brittleness, or chemical damage.
- If you see crystals or white buildup, clean/replace affected fittings early to prevent restrictions and leaks.
- Maintain balanced water chemistry to reduce scaling and extend the life of feeder components.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.
- Most products are eligible for return within 30 days of receipt, except where noted below.
- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
- We are unable to issue refunds for items that have been damaged or rendered inoperable due to installer error.
- Please complete the return form to receive your RMA number and return shipping label.
- Chemical products are not eligible for return under any circumstances.
- The Pentair Colorsync 618031 is not eligible for return.
- Pool cleaners are not eligible for return.
- Opened seals and o-rings are not eligible for return.
- Capacitors are not eligible for return.
- Plastic popup tools are not eligible for return.
- Automation components and circuit boards are not eligible for return.
- If a light is returned due to a reported malfunction and is found to be fully operational upon testing, return shipping costs and a restocking fee will be deducted from the refund.
- Orders refused at the time of delivery will be subject to the original shipping costs being deducted from the refund.
