Pentair Rainbow 1/2" MPT 90° Tube Fitting w/ Compression Nut | R172272
The Pentair Rainbow R172272 is a 90-degree elbow tube fitting with an integrated compression nut, used on select Pentair Rainbow automatic chlorine/bromine feeders. This fitting threads into the feeder body (1/2" male pipe thread) and provides a secure, right-angle connection to the feeder tubing line. It’s commonly replaced when the original fitting is cracked, leaking at the threads, or no longer seals tightly on the tubing.

Common Reasons to Replace
- Water dripping at the feeder tubing connection or around the compression nut

Installation Notes
- Shut off the pump and relieve pressure before servicing the feeder or tubing lines.
- Confirm the elbow orientation before final tightening so the tubing routes without kinks.
- Cut tubing cleanly and square, then fully seat it before tightening the compression nut.
- Use a thread sealant suitable for plastic threads and avoid over-tightening.
- After restart, inspect for slow seepage at both the threaded connection and compression nut.

Return Policy:
- Products that are received damaged will receive a refund in store credit.

- To initiate a return, please complete an RMA form prior to sending your item back.
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from the return credit.
- Items returned missing accessories or original packaging, or that are not in the same condition as received, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 100% depending on the condition of the item upon return.
- Some returns will be charged an automatic 15% restocking fee.
