Compatibility & Fitment

  • Rated for 208-230 V single phase supply; ideal for most residential pool pump replacements.
  • 3450 RPM speed with a full-rated 3 HP output, service factor included for reliable performance.
  • Square-flange C-face configuration (56Y frame) with 5/8″ threaded shaft—drop-in replacement for many standard models.

Features & Specifications

  • Horsepower: 3 HP
  • Voltage: 208-230 V, single phase
  • Frame: 56Y square flange
  • Speed: 3450 RPM
  • Shaft: 5/8″ diameter threaded
  • Enclosure: Open drip-proof (ODP) with sealed ball bearings
  • Service factor: 1.15

Installation Notes

Turn off power and lock out the circuit before beginning. Remove the existing motor and clean the mounting surface. Verify shaft alignment and flange bolt pattern matches the pump. Install the new motor, torque mounting bolts per the pump manufacturer, reconnect wiring to match the original motor’s voltage and phase configuration, ensure proper bonding and ground connection, and restore power. After installation, monitor the motor for correct rotation, normal current draw and absence of vibration.

Maintenance Tip

During annual pool system service check motor bearings for noise or wear, verify the shaft coupling remains tight, and ensure the motor remains clean and free of debris or corrosion. Replacing at the first signs of trouble can prevent downtime and extend pump life.
