Aqua Pool Supply Proudly Supports the Arizona National Guard

This morning, the team at Aqua Pool Supply had the honor of donating pizzas to approximately 160 soldiers of the Arizona National Guard during a weekend of training at Joint Force Headquarters in Phoenix. It was our first event as part of the AZNG Community Partnership — and it was a day we won't forget.

A Small Way to Say Thank You

When we were offered the chance to help feed the unit during their drill weekend, there was no hesitation on our end. The men and women of the Arizona National Guard give up their time, their energy, and often their weekends away from family to serve our state and our country. Donating pizzas for 160 of them felt like the very least we could do — and watching them dig into something hot and familiar instead of the usual drill-weekend fare made the whole drive out worth it.

Meeting Mark Gallegos and Linda Rego

None of this would have come together without the two people who make these events happen: Mr. Mark Gallegos, a Military Family Readiness Specialist with the Arizona National Guard and a retired US Army Master Sergeant, and Linda Rego, who works right alongside Mark to make sure the soldiers get fed at every drill weekend.

 

Linda is honestly the heart of these meals. She's the one coordinating the food side of things — showing up with desserts, salads, and a level of organization that only comes from doing this over and over again because she genuinely cares. Nancy will be the first to tell you she was essentially Linda's assistant for the day, and it was a privilege to learn from someone who puts this much love into supporting our service members. Linda, thank you — you're amazing, and the soldiers are lucky to have you in their corner.

 

Mark coordinates the bigger picture — the logistics, the partnerships, the introductions that bring local businesses like ours into the fold. His dedication to the people he serves is obvious the moment you meet him, and we're genuinely grateful he welcomed Aqua Pool Supply into the AZNG Community Partnership.

Why This Matters to Us

Aqua Pool Supply has been part of Arizona — and now Las Vegas — for years, and the communities we serve have given us so much. We're proud to support our brothers and sisters in the armed services any chance we get. Whether it's pizzas on a drill weekend, a family event, or a future volunteer opportunity, showing up for the people who serve this country is something we care deeply about and plan to keep doing.
